The main objective of the project is to strengthen Polish-Czech cooperation so as to jointly face challenges in the field of security in the region, facilitate the exchange of information and opinions between young Polish and Czech opinion leaders, experts, politicians, NGO activists and media representatives regarding Russian policy towards Central European countries in the context of situation in Ukraine, and work out common conclusions useful to decision-makers in both countries.

During the first project’s meeting held on 16 June 2015 in Warsaw, the participants discussed similarities and differences in Polish and Czech perception of contemporary threats to European security, talked over different scenarios, and tried to identify fields for cooperation and areas of commonality in order to find ways in which obstacles to harmonisation of the two countries’ positions could be overcome. The participants concentrated upon searching for solutions to the key differences, enabling for bringing together the political standings of the two countries.

The findings and recommendations formulated on the basis of the debate were presented in the form of a (no)discrepancy report during a briefing in Prague on 26 October 2015.
